simplicial complex In combinatorial topology, the decomposing of a space into simplices (plural of simplex); this is a generalization of a triangulation. A simplicial complex is a collection of simplices such that every face of a simplex is also in the collection, and if two simplices are not disjoint, then their intersection is a face of each simplex.
