Dodgson, Charles Lutwidge (1832–98) British mathematician and logician, better known under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll as the author of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. He was lecturer in mathematics at Christ Church, Oxford, and wrote a number of minor books on mathematics.
