one‐to‐one A function f:S → T is one‐to‐one if, whenever s1 and s2 are distinct elements of S, their images f(s1) and f(s2) are distinct elements of T. Equivalently, f is one‐to‐one if f(s1) = f(s2) implies that s1 = s2. Synonymous with injective.
