Remark 2.

The following proofs apply to derivatives by pure algebra (http://planetmath.org/DerivativesByPureAlgebra). While the nature of the proofs aresimilar to the usual proofs, the notion of a limit is replaced by modulararithmeticMathworldPlanetmathPlanetmath in R[x,h]/(h).
