Directed Number

Numbers that can be negative as well as positive.

There is size (such as 3 or 9.9) and direction (− or +)

Positive numbers often leave off the "+" sign, so "+5" is written "5"

Examples of Directed Numbers:
−15.1 (negative fifteen point one)
−3 (negative three)
2.22 (positive two point two two)
12 (positive twelve)
