analytic continuation A holomorphic function F:V→ℂ is the analytic continuation of f:U→ℂ where ∅ ≠ U ⊆V if f and F agree on U. If V is connected, then the analytic continuation to V is unique, but analytic continuations to two sets V1 and V2 may not agree on V1 ∩ V2.
