Given a Chordpassing through a homeoid, the distance between inner and outer intersections is equal on both sides. Since a sphericalshell is a symmetric case of a homeoid, this theorem is also true for spherical shells (Concentric Circles in the Plane), for which it is easily proved by symmetry arguments.
