Langlands ProgramA grand unified theory of mathematics which includes the search for a generalization of Artin Reciprocity (known asLanglands Reciprocity) to non-Abelian Galois extensions of Number Fields. Langlands proposedin 1970 that the mathematics of algebra and analysis are intimately related. He was a co-recipient of the 1996 Wolf Prizefor this formulation.
