Andrew Odlyzko

Andrew Odlyzko is a mathematician best known for disproving the Mertens conjecture with Herman J. J. te Riele. Odlyzko co-authored “On the Density of Odd Integers of the Form ${\displaystyle \frac{(p-1)}{2k}}$ and Related Questions” in J. of Number Theory 11 (1979) with Paul Erdős, and thus has Erdős number (http://planetmath.org/ErdHosNumber) 1. Odlyzko studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
